Magadheera In Hindi With Amir Khan And Hrithik

“Ghajini” producers Allu Arvind and Madhu Mantena are going to make a Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster “Magadheera” and they are reportedly considering Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan to play the main leads.

“Yes Allu Arvind and I are remaking ‘Magadheera’ in Hindi. As for the cast, it’s too early to talk about it. But ‘Magadheera’ is definitely being planned to be bigger than ‘Ghajini’,” Mantena told IANS.

Released in July this year, “Magadheera” has already grossed over Rs.65 crore in India alone and is said to be the second-biggest Telugu hit after “Ghajini”.

With this Telugu remake into Hindi that is expected to take off early next year, Arvind and Mantena hope to raise the bar for action-drama cinema in Hindi once again.

The remake, to be budgeted at Rs.70 crore, is highly ambitious. While in the original, which is set in 17th century and present, the hero Ram Charan Teja plays a double role, the remake will split the hero’s personality into two parts. Apparently Hrithik will play the samurai from the Middle Ages while Aamir will play Share Khan Role.

Magadheera as Mahaveeran in Tamil, Film Set for Sankranthi Release

Ram Charan’s “Magadheera,” directed by SS Raja Mouli will be soon releasing in Tamil Version. Earlier, makers of the movie thought to remake it in Tamil, but they have now decided to release its in dubbed versionl. The movie has been titled “Mahaveeran” and will be releasing for Sankranthi.

Made with a huge budget of about 42 crores, “Magadheera” is now running towards 100-day mark. The movie elevated Ram Charan to a very great extent and also set new records in terms of collections. Also, it is the only Telugu movie to release in 1500 theatres worldwide. And now we have to wait and see how the Tamil audience will receive Ram Charan and his magnum opus – “Magadheera (Mahaveeran).”

“Mahaveeran,” which is set for Sankrathi release will be facing tough competition. Two big movies, one starring Ajith and the other Vijay are also slated for Sankranthi releaser. Now the question is, “Can “Mahaveeran” withstand the competition and show similar performance as that of its Telugu version?” Only the time can answer this question, and if we look into the history of dubbed film, we find very few films that have done well. Will “Mahaveeran” will be one of them? Let us wait and see.

Following the idiom of Arya, Arya2 has been made entertainingly by Sukumar. Produced under the banner of Adithya Arts, the film stars Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal, and Navdeep and Shraddha Das (of Diary fame) also playing intersting roles.

It is not a sequel to Arya but has the character of Arya retaining the peculiarity. If earlier he asked the girl to just feel his love, in this one he believes that even if someone is hating us, there is an intense feel underneath it.

Devi Sri Prasad is the musician and the film is produced by Adithya Babu.
